Eye Care Research
Thanks to aggressive research and advances in surgical and medical treatments, today’s medical professionals use numerous approaches to help patients preserve their vision. New technology, procedures, and medicines are paving the way for a day when diseases such as glaucoma no longer threaten to rob individuals of their sight. SEE is proud to play a leading role in current research initiatives.
Our practice is involved in multiple research trials, including innovative surgical procedures and new medications that have the potential to dramatically enhance the treatment and management of glaucoma.
It’s been more than ten years since the last class of medication for glaucoma was brought to market, so we’re thrilled to be at the forefront of current efforts. It’s exciting to participate in studies and to be working in tandem with other researchers in the quest to move closer to a cure.
On a regular basis, SEE conducts internal studies that help our team improve patient care. Not only do these studies help local patients, but individuals across the country also benefit from the research we conduct. Our work has been shared at professional conferences attended by medical professionals throughout the nation.
If you are one of the many SEE patients who are participating in our practice’s research initiatives, were are grateful for your trust and your willingness to help advance glaucoma treatment. If you would like to know more about the studies we are engaged in, please contact Russell Schroeder, COA, who coordinates research efforts at SEE.
